Within Australia, many opportunities exist for organisations to establish projects with the purpose of enhancing the quality of care for our wetlands and environment. To encourage this, governments and private bodies offer funding grants that support the assessment and management of wetlands and related projects. • Funding opportunities for local government

  To further support local governments, the Queensland Government has developed the Local Government Grants and Subsidies Program. Starting in July 2011, this program will importantly target councils with limited capacity to meet their priority infrastructure needs and capital works projects.
