EventsWorld Wetlands DayWorld Wetlands Day is celebrated every year on 2 February. It marks the anniversary of the signing of the Convention on Wetlands of International Importance in Ramsar, Iran, on 2 February 1971. Each year since 1997 groups use the opportunity to undertake events and actions aimed at raising public awareness about the convention and wetland values and benefits.
