Sources of habitat removal/disturbance from wetlands:
Habitat is removed for the development of a variety of things, including: buildings, foreshore infrastructure and amenity, roads and bridges, aquaculture, reclamation for agriculture, urbanisation and industry, etc.
Extractive operations, reclamation and modification of natural drainage pathways remove habitat
Uncontrolled vehicle access and recreational activities can result in the loss of wetland habitat
