Management - Conductivity
Management practices to reduce the load of ions entering a wetland:
- Adequate buffer zones
- Appropriate drainage that does not affect watertable levels
- Appropriate environmental flow releases
- Appropriate management of dryland salinity
- Establishment of maximum irrigation drawdown limits
- Government regulation (e.g. water extraction licenses)
- Installation of appropriate flood gates (tide activated, etc.)
