These codes state ways of achieving compliance with the general environmental duty for activities that cause or are likely to cause environmental harm. They are generally prepared by industries or industry associations to give clear guidance to their members on measures they should take to prevent or minimise environmental harm.

Most industries have developed Farm Management Systems in recent years that may be a more up to date way for landholders to ensure they’re meeting the current industry standards to comply with their environmental duties. Please contact you relevant industry representative for more information.
