The National Strategy for the Conservation of Australia's Biological Diversity is to provide a framework for protecting Australia's biodiversity.

The Strategy aims to bridge the gap between current activities and those measures necessary to ensure the effective identification, conservation and ecologically sustainable use of Australia's biological diversity.
