WetlandMapsTo view interactive maps and wetlands data: WetlandMaps provides an interactive map service that aims to give users fast and easy access to wetland information via a web-based Geographic Information System (GIS). WetlandMaps was developed as a project under the Queensland Wetlands Program and is being delivered as part of Information Queensland’s online atlas. The data provided by WetlandMaps is sourced from the Department of Environment and Resource Management and external parties. What's new in the latest version of wetand maps?
Updates to the Wetland GIS layers and supporting data will be incorporated as they become available. Further reporting functionality will be integrated in future releases. BackgroundDuring consultation with stakeholders, the Queensland Wetlands Program found there was a need for an easy-to-use, interactive interface for wetland information discovery and delivery. It was also important that the information be current and easily available to all sectors of government, community and industry. WetlandMaps has been developed to deliver on this need. The map server was developed in partnership with Information Queensland. Information Queensland is an interagency project that aims to give users fast and easy access to Queensland Government information via a one-stop web portal.
