KML Maps

This page provides access to wetland information in KML format. You can view the information in a different format by selecting one of the following buttons:

 

Select a region either by clicking an area on the left or a name on the right.

 

If you have Google Earth download Google Earth or similar installed on your computer, clicking on a region should automatically open it and zoom to the area of interest. Some browsers might ask you whether to open the application or download the KML file. If you download the file, you can subsequently view the information by starting the application manually and opening the file, or by double-clicking the file from your hard disk.

To save the file right click on the place name and save.

Use the zoom control in the map window or the mouse scroll wheel to view the map in more detail.

Use the pan control in the map window or drag the map with the mouse to move the viewing area.

Please note:

  • that the mapping provided here does not have legislative or statutory standing
  • line work won’t always match exactly with the underlying imagery due to scale differences, differences in the way the data was collected or changes to the landscape
  • the wetland mapping was developed in a different geographic projection to the Google Earth imagery
  • we hold no responsibility for what appears in the underlying imagery
  • the kml’s are for general viewing and information purposes only. Not to be used for decision making or legislative purposes
  • if being viewed in Google Earth or other viewing program, make reference to their terms of use
